Our Story

In the heart of Queensland's Somerset and Moreton Bay Regions, a vision took root. Cameron Smart, a seasoned professional with a rich background in mining and project management, saw beyond the rolling hills and bustling communities. He saw potential – potential for growth, for efficiency, for a service that could become the backbone of local industry.

Four years ago, that vision became WERCS Hire. Born from a gap in the market and nurtured by a deep understanding of local needs, we've grown to be more than just an equipment rental agency. We're a partner in progress, a facilitator of dreams, and a proud member of the community we serve.

From our home at 65 Hope Street, Kilcoy, we reach out to civil contractors, builders, local councils, and Chamber of Commerce members across Esk, Somerset, and beyond. Our extensive range of equipment – from robust mini skid steers to versatile marquees – isn't just about providing tools. It's about providing possibilities.

At WERCS Hire, we understand that every project, big or small, is a step towards building a stronger community. That's why we offer both Dry Hire for those who know their way around machinery, and Wet Hire with our qualified operators for those who need an extra hand. It's not just about renting equipment; it's about renting expertise, reliability, and a commitment to your success.

Our story is intertwined with the stories of the businesses we serve. Every time a local builder completes a home, every time a civil contractor finishes a project ahead of schedule, every time a community event comes to life under our marquees – that's our story continuing to unfold.

We're more than just a hire company. We're your neighbours, your supporters, your partners in progress.

At WERCS Hire, we're not just working for the community; we're working with the community, building a future as strong and vibrant as the region we call home.

Choose WERCS Hire, and let's write the next chapter of your success story together.
